This is a trio realization of a vihuela ( an early cousin of the guitar) piece by the 17th century Spaniard Gaspar Sanz. I have avoided the temptation to "plump it up" so that the simple charm of Sanz' music is maintained and to keep it accessible to as many guitarists as possible. The dynamics and colour changes are editorial; the ornaments are from Sanz' manuscript. |
