Most of us know this song by way of Ritchie Valens version 'La Bamba' from the '50's. In fact it is a traditional song from the Veracruz region of Mexico dating from the early 1800's. "To dance La Bomba you need to be a little bit silly." is a rough translation on the first line. Percussion would make a welcome addition to this arrangement. Arriba! |
